To install artificial grass, five basic steps should be followed.
Step-by-step guide to installing artificial grass for your garden
- Prepare and clean the ground or surface. It’s important that the area is flat and without holes.
- Lay down an anti-weed mesh to prevent weeds and assist in the drainage of the artificial grass.
- Measure the space well, and plan the layout and design so you know exactly how and where to place the grass.
- Install the grass on the anti-weed mesh with a self-adhesive strip, and fasten it properly on the edges and corners.
- Make the final touches, and brush the surface of the grass.
At Better Than Real Grass, we do artificial grass installations for commercial and residential customers, but we also sell the products so you can do it yourself. We even have free samples! Keep in mind though, that installing artificial grass is not a simple task, that’s why we recommend hiring experts to take charge of the project.
Types of grass available at Better Than Real Grass:
Within the category of decorative grass, there are several subcategories that indicate the characteristics of the product and dictate where it will be used. These factors determine its size, thickness, filling, permeability capacity, and height.
For example, if the grass is to be placed in a high-traffic area, such as shopping malls or event areas, the blade length should be shorter. However, when it comes to décor or landscaping, a lawn with a more natural finish is generally sought, so its height will be longer, (between 40 and 60 millimeters).
Here are some options for artificial grass:
- Super Realistic in colors field green + apple green + beige and high resistance.
- Natural 2000 in the colors field green + olive or grass green + beige.
- California Fescue, also in the same colors as the Natural 2000.
- Royal Grass, in the colors field green + light green + beige and coffee + beige.
- Arizona Spring Green, in field green + apple green and grass green + beige.
